Crushing on...

I have the BIGGEST crush on this Isabel Marant sweater. The cardigan version can be seen in Vogue Paris November 2011 but the pull-over has really won me over.

"The Unbearable Lightness of Being"

“He suddenly recalled from Plato's Symposium: People were hermaphrodites until God split then in two, and now all the halves wander the world over seeking one another. Love is the longing for the half of ourselves we have lost.”
                                                                           --Milan Kundera

Jean on Jean on Jean.

If there is one item of clothing I cannot live without- it's a jean shirt. I've recently purchased my fourth one, which may seem excessive, but I swear they're all different! It's the type of shirt that you can throw on with leggings, wear with a dark pair of jeans, and even tuck into silky shorts or a skirt. It's that perfect item that you can throw on, walk out the door, and still feel fashionable in.

1. Joe's Jeans, The Sexy Western Shirt $118
2. Ralph Lauren, Patch Detail Denim Shirt $219
3. LOVER, Cut-out Denim Shirt $315 [OBSESSED!!]
4. Genetic Denim, The Ami Shirt $122.50

Hair-do's and dont's...

Its about that time again... where the weather is too cold that even when I make sure my hair is perfectly blow dried, I step out of the house and its frizzy, and there are fly-aways, and need I say more? Wait, did I also mention that I was blessed (note my sarcasm) with very thin hair and its virtually impossible to make it look thicker. Oh, right, I also have to wash my hair everyday because by the time I do it in the morning its a mess by the afternoon.. SO, my secret? Hats and headbands. When I wake up to get to class or work late, I throw one on and voila- my bedhead mess turns into a fashion statement (or, so I think)

1. Karl Donoghue, Shearling-lined Trapper Hat $295
2. Stella McCartney, Chunky-knit alpaca-blend beanie $300
3. Gucci, Rabbit Felt Fedora $450
4. Eugenia Kim, Lula Wool Headband $80

I am a hallo-whiner...

For some reason which probably dates back to some traumatic event in my childhood: I dislike Halloween, alot. However, my friends are completely obsessed and have transformed everything in our house into a Halloween decoration. Coming home from a very long day I walked into the kitchen to discover them making oreo truffles covered in Halloween baking decor (is that even what you would call it?) And since than, I've felt a little better about the holiday... maybe...

SS12 Elizabeth and James Lookbook

Obsessed with MKA, it's only natural that their effortless everyday style translates into their contemporary and designer lines. While I long awaited Fall Weather, I'm now ready to trade my combat boots for bright yellow pants and floral prints whilst dreaming of casual Sunday brunch and mimosas...

Céline

Enough said.

INDIAN SUMMER

After a week of low 60's I finally brought my space heater up to Binghamton only to realize its been 80 degree weather for about a week. Have I mentioned the sandals I've been refusing to replace have finally ripped just in time for an Indian Summer (ouch). On the plus side I now can run out of the house without blowdrying my hair and calmly explain to my father that an Indian Summer is most definitely an excuse to buy more shorts.
