Black Friday

My head hurts from a 5AM shift (but I love my FP fam), I ate two bagels (unscooped and not whole wheat... amazing), and I totally bought things (did I mention they werent even on sale?) Yep.... Happy Black Friday!

#shoeproblems

The other night I was going for dinner and realized I had absolutely no shoes appropriate: my boots were too casual, and my flats were waaaay too open for winter. Naturally, I went into a panic and now have been on a mission ever since for shoes I could wear during those chilly months... What I fell in love with? These velvet flats that are WAY cute and the material is SO appropriate (that, and I'm digging velvet apparently..)

[3] Flipping through LUCKY, I stumbled upon this Moon and Lola Acrylic Monogram Necklace and fell in love! Why? because it gives a totally different vibe from the gold and silver plated one and is ten times less expensive! Chaa-ching

Last night, my sister and I went to see Ani Difranco at Town Hall in NYC, and it was beyond great. She always puts on a show thats real and raw down to the bone (and she recited a personal poem during the concert!). Besides the fact she damn well knows how to play a guitar, her lyrics mesmerize and everytime I leave the show I end up having her on repeat for weeks... It takes an amazing artist to captivate you enough that after a show you leave only wanting more...

A Sequin of Events..

Okay, so I finally figured out how to properly pronounce and spell "sequin" and than purchased my first pair of black sequin pants! Ever since, I cant stop fantasizing about how much cuter some things are when they're adorned with little sparkling add-ons... I mean really, why be the girl in the black short-shorts out in NYC when you can be the girl in those amazing sequin short-shorts!?!? Although I'm currently crushing on all of the below items- I cant help but think it may be better to have one amazing sequin item versus five...

Family Day

This weekend my family was up visiting so we spent the day in Ithaca munching on good food, and hanging out at this quaint little winery called 'Six Mile Creek'... It happened to be a very sunny Saturday (which is rare in upstate new york), we had way too much fun and my sister snapped some great shots of the day...

Lashes

Living in a house with seven other girls, we're always throwing around new make-up or beauty techniques we've heard of... Recently our favorite thing to do has been using an eyelash curler, with a twist. Before putting the curler to your lashes, try heating it lightly with a blowdryer. I know, I know... its like a hair curler but for your eyelashes!!!!!

I've been dying to get a new blazer, and waited so long, I can't even tell if the one I picked out is appropriate anymore... Is it too late to wear a cream/beige blazer? Is it like that no white after labor day rule, but with beige? Does it even matter? Help!

Whenever I'm looking through my favorite blogs, I always am drawn to the pictures of friends who look fabulous together (The Sartorialist captures the best ones!). You can accessorize yourself to the best of your abilities but nothing beats that best friend looking just as great linking onto your arm. You can look good alone, but nothing like confidence in numbers...
