They're amazing. Thank you Tom Binns. Grandma-style enhanced, a pop of neon. I don't even like earrings for god's sake!

Fiona Apple.
“The idler wheel is wiser than the driver of the screw,
and whipping cords will serve you more than ropes will ever do.”
and whipping cords will serve you more than ropes will ever do.”
Fiona is back. Seven years later, yes, but back and it was worth the wait. Apple is unafraid to share her most personal moments on the CD that resonates 42 minutes of her soul. The lyrics, the melody. I'm dying to take in every song.

Basic Black is Back
Aint' it the truth that the most basic items seem the most impossible to find. Seriously... I've spent endless hours online looking for the perfect neutral black shoes to wear to work that are cute and comfortable. Yes, a combination of the two is necessary so you don't look like you threw on your grandma's loafers. Sorry, there is no excuse for bad shoes if you're working in NYC.
1. $89.90I am a huge lover of boots, even in the summer (contrary to my mother's pleads...)These are from Zara, and uber comfy!!
2. $74.57
Sometimes you need a little more color, and ASOS offers an easy floral look.
3. $49.90
Another steal from Zara... I even have them myself! And, snakeskin is in!
4. $97.99
Okay, if you're really hurting and desperate for comfort... these are literally the perfect shoe for you. Birkenstock offers extremely wearable shoes, and the gladiator pattern is nice enough of work.
5. $99.00
Sam Edelman offers a look-alike Phillip Lim for under $100 with a little heel that will make you feel good, as well as look good.
6. $124
And in case you're feeling wild, black sling backs from Top Shop.

Tell me life is beautiful, they think I have it all.
Photo via Naomi Shon |
Last night I saw Lana Del Ray at Irving Plaza and three beers in her opener Zebra Katz's song "Silly Bitch" seemed almost good, and for gods sake, have some respect for the woman people- she wore birds in her hair. I'm confused about the whole SNL drama because the girl sure could sing last night (I'm sure of it because I heard her take breaths in between the words to ensure there was no lip-syncing nonsense...) While I'm still not over the lack of an encore, I can be your china doll, if you like to see me fall. 'Nough said.

CFDA
Every fashion girls dream isn't being dressed for the Oscars, but the CFDA awards. Hello, couldn't you just kill to be Leandra Medine who was Rebecca Minkoffs date? (I could, and I would've rocked that killer vest to go along with my look too...)But seriously, everybody looked beautiful and one person even tweeted "Anna Wintour is smiling @CFDA." If that doesn't scream 'success of a night' than I don't know what does!
Clearly besides The Row winning Womenswear designer of the year, the best thing about the night was that MK dyed her hair back to brunette to be more like me! (Naturally, that's it.) All in all, win-win.

SUPERGA
Should I be re-thinking this whole Superga thing now? I mean, Leandra Medina rocks them, but than again so does my mom... Perhaps that is the point?
Now.... and Zen (Literally)
Since graduating I've been on hiatus, trying to get myself together via yoga and hiding out in the Hamptons. #AlmostNYCgirlproblems
Top: Zara, Pants: Leifnotes, Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell (The badass skirt to the left: Zara) |
Now that I'm much older and wiser since having graduating a mere two weeks ago. Lesson learned ladies, while my all-white pants outfit was lovely... the air flow was little on the one day in Binghamton it was sunny and 85 degrees (Lucky me?)
