Nancy Botwin

As Weeds come to a close this season (alas, for good) I think its time to address my long obsession with the style of Nancy Botwin, aka Mary Louise Parker. First to address the elephant in the room; the dramatic change in hair style from season one to season two: thank god. The messy waves that looked like she just hopped out of bed really did some good for her look. Now, as someone whose watched the show from the beginning, not only have I fallen in love with Nancy (its really not that hard to do), but her effortless fashion. She's the bad-ass mom in loose cut off jean shorts, and that flowy tank you're just dying to know where she found it from so you can replicate the same outfit. And, there's something to be said about a woman who knows how to wear heeled clogs. While I hate to admit it, there are many-a-times I've looked into the mirror after struggling to throw something on and uttered "whatever, Nancy would wear it." I think it's about the same reason I bought myself a pair of clogs during season four but have yet to unearth them from the bottom of my closet...

Garance

This picture Garance Dore posted from her Australian Harper's Bazaar shoot is so amazing. Nothing screams New York street style more than furry pumps and printed pants.

Festival Feeeever

I guess I've finally gotten over the fact I didn't go to Coachella after the millions of instagram and twitter posts I had to browse through the past two weekends in utter horror and jealousy I wasn't there (Okay, maybe I'm still not over it..)But better yet, Coachella fashion is oh-so-fun to look at considering I've been trying to bring the flower headband back for years now...

Better yet? What better than an excuse to wear jean shirts, crochet tops, fringe boots, and anything Novella Royale? I guess I'll just keep buying festival-like clothing to make myself feel better about not going this year...

GIRL CRUSH: THE MAN REPELLER

So, recap: as I said yesterday, I JUST discovered The Man Repeller after realizing I've seen her on a thousand different blogs being the fashionista queen she is. Instantly, I was mesmerized for an hour going through all her posts and have such girl crush/girl envy its insane. Besides the fact she makes everything look effortlessly cool, she is sooo sassy and admits to wearing the same outfit three days in a row without shame- I think I'm in love.

These are a few of my favorite pictures on her site (which now are influencing me to browse the world wide web in hopes of channeling her style into my wardrobe...)
