Wearing Cake...

...No, but seriously, ever since I've started using this hand cream I feel like I'm wearing lemon cake on my skin. Believe me, when I read the reviews for this J.R. Watkins lemon hand cream and it said it smells exactly like a delicious cake I was skeptical also. HOWEVER, it actually smells like it and now I find myself kind of wanting to lick my hands on a daily basis. (Shutup, like you never feel that way when you put on super delicious chapstick.)

Came across an interesting article last night by Clay Shirky... Not sure I agree with everything but the point was well taken. A good read! 

"Now I don’t know what to do about this problem. (The essence of a rant, in fact, is that the ranter has no idea how to fix the thing being ranted about.) What I do know is this: it would be good if more women see interesting opportunities that they might not be qualified for, opportunities which they might in fact fuck up if they try to take them on, and then try to take them on. It would be good if more women got in the habit of raising their hands and saying “I can do that. Sign me up. My work is awesome,” no matter how many people that behavior upsets."

Coat Crush

Although Pre-Fall Collections have taken the runway, I'm still not over the Balenciaga Spring 2012 collection because of the boxy coat featured. (I have a coat problem, but seriously, the orange one...)

I hate wearing socks. However, as I endlessly tire around in my ankle boots I've come to realize I really need them (what, blisters arent sexy?). My mom worked at HUE so I guess it was only a matter of time until I had my own personal sock appreciation revolution... Point taken, I now respect the power of the sock. And, the power of really cute socks.

Checking out Phillip Lim's Pre-Fall 2012 Collection, I couldn't help but feel that the "neo-noir" comic book feel was stemming directly from the american pop artist Roy Lichtenstein's brain.

 All in all, love the collaberation of pop art and fashion!

Balmain Spring 2012

Today I tried on a funky pair of white jeans and now I can't stop thinking about white hues for spring and summer (good thing its 20 degrees outside...) but all in all Balmain Spring 2012 reassures me that the color white is the way to go.
